Teacher Kerryn

Welcome to Sunrise Centre playschool, where learning is a joyful journey guided by passion and expertise!

As the founder and lead educator of Sunrise Centre, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our vibrant learning community.

With a Bachelor of Education in Foundation Phase Teaching and a Bachelor of Honours in Inclusive Education, my journey in education has been deeply rooted in the belief that teaching is not just a profession, but a calling passed down through generations of educators in my family.

My dedication to fostering inclusive learning environments stems from my diverse experiences, including my role as a homeschool teacher/facilitator for a neurodivergent child. Through this experience, I’ve learned firsthand the transformative power of personalized, play-based learning approaches in nurturing each child’s unique potential.

Collaborating with the GROW Educare team in curriculum development further enriched my understanding of early childhood education, allowing me to integrate innovative teaching practices that cater to the holistic development of every child. With SACE registration and a background in online English language teaching for children, I am committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and enriching educational experience for all our young learners

At Sunrise Centre, we embrace diversity and celebrate each child’s individuality, ensuring that every child feels valued, respected, and included.

Beyond the classroom, I find joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it’s immersing myself in a good book, creating beautiful crochet pieces, enjoying outdoor adventures with my canine companion, or diving into the refreshing waters of tidal pools.

I invite you to join us at Sunrise Centre, where your child’s journey of discovery, growth, and learning begins in a warm, welcoming, and enriching environment.

Let’s embark on this wonderful adventure together!
